Choosing the Right Wall Drapes for Your Event

Different fabrics create different looks, levels of coverage and finishes. This quick guide explains the main wall drape hire options we use for weddings, corporate events, parties, brand activations and venue transformations.

Lava Wall Drapes

Lava is a popular medium-weight wall drape with a soft sheen and a wide range of bright, deep colours. It hangs beautifully, gives good coverage and works well for feature walls, themed spaces and decorative event backdrops.

Best for: brand events, weddings, Christmas parties, themed events and colourful backdrop draping.

Luna Wall Drapes

Luna is a heavier dim-out wall drape, often used where more coverage, partitioning or light control is needed. It hangs with a strong pleat and is practical for large spaces.

Best for: conferences, exhibitions, large-scale installs, room partitioning, temporary walls and venue draping.

Whisper Weave Drapes

Whisper Weave is a lightweight, airy fabric with a soft romantic look. It is often used for wedding draping, ceiling drapes and gentle decorative styling where a lighter finish is preferred.

Best for: weddings, soft venue styling, ceiling draping and romantic event backdrops.

Velvet Wall Drapes

Velvet is our premium wall drape option. It adds depth, richness and a luxury finish that can completely transform a room. It photographs beautifully and creates a high-end immersive feel.

Best for: feature walls, luxury weddings, statement backdrops, brand events, parties and premium venue transformations.

Pipe and Drape Hire

We also provide pipe and drape hire for venues where there are no suitable fixing points. Our freestanding pipe and drape system allows us to hang wall drapes from around 3m to 5m high, depending on the venue and fabric choice.

For taller drape installations, we may use larger base plates, steel wire supports or approved venue fixing points to ensure the drapes are installed safely and securely.

Health and Safety

When creating temporary fabric walls or room divides, we always consider access, doorways, fire exits and emergency signage. We can provide freestanding doorway sections where needed, including single and double door openings.
